National Facts Sheet on Period Poverty

1 in 5 Teens have either been unable to purchase
Period Products at all or struggle to afford them.

Project 54 initiative in association with the Keeping Her well program, is hosting the “2024/25 Project 54 Pad-A-Thon” to provide sanitary napkins for teenage girls attending schools from grades 6 thru 12 here in New Jersey. Our goal in this project is to reduce the number of absence in schools across the state, due to a lack of period supplies and the high cost associated with them.

An often-ignored public health crisis, nearly one in five girls miss school for lack of period supplies. We are working together to deliver 9,000 packs of Reign Premium Sanitary Napkins on a yearly basis thru multiple channels to schools, community outreach, aftercare, etc within the state of
New Jersey and Internationally.
